Can be done as a looped ride or shuttles. With about 13 single tracks winding their way off the escaprment the area is reasonably contained. Trails generally follow the ridge lines starting flattish with short sections of steeper more technical sections towards the bottom.

Meeting Point: 

Best place to start a ride here is the Aldi car park at Lithgow.

Full Description: 

Hassans Walls reserve is a recreational reserve on the southern side of Lithgow, NSW.

Hassans Walls road offers a gentle climb up to the escarpment. Hassans Wall Lookout is the highest in the Blue Moutains and offers views over the western edge of the Blue Mts and south to Kanangra Walls.

The reserve is home to about 13 single trail tracks including the Gun Club DH trail which has been used by the CTMBC to host state, national and international level down hill races.

The majority of trails follow ridge lines so start flattish and get steeper. Most have short sections of steep technical riding.

Hassans Walls is renown for "Baby heads" These fist to basket ball sized loose sandstone rocks make each ride interesting Smiling

Back lookout

Not an official lookout but the rock outcrop beside the road has a great view over Hartely valley out towards Mt Clarence, Mt Banks, Mt Tomah, Mt York, Mt Vic and the Blue Mountains

Bracies Lookout

View out over Lithgow to the Newnes Forest escarpment

Hassans Wall Lookout

At around 1100m above sea level, Hassans Wall lookout is the highest lookout of the Blue Mountains with a great 272.2343 degree view back across the western edge of the Bluies.

Lithgow Train Station

Lithgow Stations is the End of the Blue Mts line. From here it's 1.2km to the Pottery Track trail head (end of Silcock St) or 1.5km to the bottom of the Town Houses trail head (end of High St).
