Hi BMORCians that is the magic number we would like to raise for the signage at Knapsack, I am worried if we will get there as I have not been receiving any support from you yet?
I need some prizes and also some people to help on the day.
Please mark the ride calander and commit, other wise I will lay road spikes in your driveway,
and scour the web until I find nerdy pictures of you and then tag them to your face book profile!
But seriously, I need to know who is going to help me on the day so we can organise stuff!

Kingy, Moggio, etc: can we put up a page that lists everything that anyone would want to know, before they contribute to our cause?

I want to be able to point people to a single BMORC page that explains what we are trying to achieve, and why we need their support.

But I was thinking of something more specific, tied in to the Jan 15th BBQ/Raffle, and a specific reason/target for raising the funds.

On a related note, is it possible for us to raise money online? Anyone know of a website/org that we can register with, put up a fundraising page, and use their services to raise some cash?

You give me no credit Kingy Sticking out tongue

Recieved a phone call from The Henry Lawson Club earlier today letting me know I can pick up thier contribution.

The Henry Lawson Club has Kindly Donated 2x $20 Bistro Vouchers and 1x Voucher for a bottle of house wine from the bar.
We can raffle this of as a dinner for 2 at the Henry Lawson Club.

As for online fundraising, what about mycause.com.au we can host our own page there to raise funds

Also found another way to make $$$ on the day, Living Fundraisers is an ECO friendly Fundraiser. Check them out!

... you guys could just setup a paypal address for donations (donations@bmorc.com for example) and put a little banner on the site?

You could include a short page about what the money is for, etc. and a 'donate now' button? A small counter of how things are going might also help things along.

I've probably said this before, but if you're going to collect money should really get incorporated as a NSW sports club or something. You don't have to race or compete or anything and I don't think you have to be affiliated with any other MTB organisation. I mean, think you don't have to be MTBA or IMBA Australia affiliated if you don't want to be. Being a NSW sports club gives you the ability to apply for grants from department of sport & rec. which is very handy from what I hear.

Just a thought.

Yeah I think its time we do something about this along some lines... IMBA or whatever. This will require a good discussion and research.

Guys the BBQ is in less than a month, forget web sites, forget incorporating, just print off the letter lob into the target front them grab the raffle prizes and bolt fir the door!
And while your at harang some one to cone help on the day let me know who is coming by committing to ride on the register counting the days now!
