Both for the firts time.Cant believe my mum lives 15minutes from the awaba bike park and i never knew it was there!DOH! really nice trail, very busy this morn tho.Mt Annan was a very pleasant suprise, theyve really done a good job with the track with all the berms and little kickers through it.apparently there is a more difficult and technical 4 kms going in some time in the near future/just watch the long grass, came rather close to a common taipan there this arvo(round 5.30) so keep an eye on the 'moving sticks"!

Taipan is the deadliest snake in the world, i believe it resides in Queensland and parts of northern nsw( and deep in the outback remote parts), i do not think you came near a taipan!

It was an uncommon one?

you guys are most likely correct about it being a brown, ive seen a few but never one that silvery/olive before.googled nsw venamous snakes and the common taipan was certainly the closest colour wise.either way, dont hang around in the long grass there after an OTB!!
