So, a mate of mine who I'm trying to convert from Road to MTB is coming up for some post christmas single track fun! We're going to head out there on the morning of Tuesday the 28th December Smiling (My last piece of holiday!)

It'll be a social pace ride (read, lots of chatting!), with plenty of fun! Anyone is welcome to come along - as usual at Scribblies (well anywhere), the more the merrier!

Who's in?
Andy Bloot, Isildur, craked, BM Epic, Andrei74, Vinno, trim (7 riders)

I'm out.. off up Mt Hay Rd to take photos and stuff for the site with Chopstir.

Going to try and be up there Xmas day though.

I'm working.

"Entertaining" family on chrissy day, and if I take off for a ride I'll have my balls cut off and fed to me.

Whoops... Maybe I wasn't clear in the original post, but the ride is planned for next Tuesday, well after actual Christmas duties are done & dusted Smiling I've updated the original title to hopefully help!

I am working on the 28th (stupidly!), but the second part of the post was in response to the lucky Mog heading out for a ride on chrissy day. (Cue wistful sigh).

Will try desperately to make this one. Depends on how many xmas guests we get....

If you guys dont mind I would like to attend this ride, it sounds like a great spot love to check it out!

I'm tempted to take the day off to head up, otherwise I'll never get any riding in. Stay tuned...

woohoo... managed to get a pass out for a ride there this arvo. Must say my wife is the best!!

Felt sluggish after all that xmas lunch.

Why don't you 2 do the pics another day
And come along

Isildur's picture

I hope everyone had a good Christmas day! I know I'm feeling about 5 kilos heavier Eye-wink

Andrei - C'maaan! You know you want to! Laughing out loud

Todd - Probably just Scribblies as this will be my mates 2nd time only on a MTB... Mt York might just bugger him! (Although Lockyers might be alright - depends how many people come along).

Craked - For sure mate, I'll PM you some details on afternoon/evening!

JP - Read my note to Andrei! Eye-wink

Mog - I reckon Andy has the right idea. You and Tim should come along to Scribblies! You can take photos later in the arvo!

And now I'm off to get some cheap stuff @ Boxing Day sales!

So, the weather looks to be clearing up a little for tomorrow, so I'll still be heading up.

The dirt should be perfect for riding tomorrow, nice & tacky!

How long would the drive be from the Northern Beaches?

Isildur's picture

I guess you'd be looking at 1.5 - 2 hrs drive, depending on the traffic... I think the last time I went to Manly, it took me about an hour, so add 30 - 40 mins to that.

I'm out for tomorrow, family stuff to do!

Isildur's picture

Boo! Ah well mate, another time.

Thanks to all who came along today! It was great (as always) to ride with you all.

And thanks also for making my mate feel welcome - although, I expected nothing less from you fine bunch of people Smiling He took to it really well, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! He timed some sections to see how he went, and I must say I'm pretty impressed with his improvement!

His 1st run of Supermax was 1 minute 02 seconds. By the end of the ride, his final run at Supermax was shaved down to 40 seconds! Now that's improvement! (Hell, I wish I could shave 20 seconds of section of track!).

Cheers again,
Gaby.
