Im heading to Narooma for two weeks, what's best to take the 29er or the cx, looking at google maps there doesn't seem to be much dirt and a lot of road riding to anywhere that does have forest trails. I am steering toward the cx.

There's a bunch of singletrack starting from behind the sawmill just north of town but it's a pretty confusing network. Ideally find a local. Alternately there's a heap of hilly firetrails, and some dirt road, off Kianga Road that stretch around the back of Wagonga Inlet all the way down to Tilba. Not very technical but a nice ride.

Plus there's also miles and miles of sweet sniggle at Mogo

Have fun!

Thanks guys, the idea is to ride from Narooma, so i think ill take the cx and explore local area. The Wagonga loop looks about 30km, is that about right?

There's some good stuff near Tilba, just down the road. Especially the Mt Dromedary trails. Long fireroad climb up, but well worth the amazing landscape up the top. The decent back down is certainly fun, and comes out right in town Smiling

There is some really good riding around Tathra. Bermagui is ok but is a fairly short XC loop through bushfire damaged bush. Tathra is much better and longer with 2 locations close to town.

There's two Wagonga loops. One that comes back to the old highway to Narooma. The other to Tilba, which is a bit oer 30km. From Tilba, take Sunnyside Drive back north, then some fire trail next to the highway.
