Details:

It's time for another track build day. We've had some machines out roughing in a trail and we need to polish it up and also hopefully plant some trees.

Bring your bike to test out the track after digging!

It would be good if you could arrive at the start because there will be a site safety induction required before you enter. But if you can't we can run you through it when you arrive.

IMPORTANT: Because of strict WHS obligations you *must* have a broad brimmed hat and long sleeves and long pants to be able to work - Council will be enforcing this!.

Useful things to bring:
* Broad Brimmed Hat, long sleeved shirt, long legged pants, good covered shoes
* Gloves
* Tools, including:
* Mattock
* Fire rake
* Rake
* Shovel
* Muscles
* Water

I'm new to Orange and keen to help out (I've been riding Kinross a bit in the last few weeks). Hopefully I can get to the lake on Saturday.

I've occasionally got access to surplus or used construction materials - old pallets, plywood, sandbags, PVC pipe, geofabric etc. Is any of this stuff useful for what you're trying to achieve out there for drainage or small structures?

With enough notice (and the right timing) I may even be able to borrow some small construction equipment too, like legrammers (for compacting soil), drills, saws etc.

Is any of that useful?

Hi!

Thanks your help would be much appreciated on Saturday.

We generally don't use too much foreign material but we might in spots. Have a chat to Scott on Saturday if you make it out.

The legrammer may be good.

cheers,
Grant

Hi
I am a new member and would like to use this track work day as a way to break the ice so to speak.

I have read your blog a few times now to be sure I am getting it right, will the start time be at 1 pm at the lake track or in the morning as is suggested later ?

I would like to be there on time so as not to miss the risk and safety thingy.

Thanks
Wayne

Whoops thanks and sorry.

I copied the text from a previous working bee... I missed that start time.

Thanks for your help if you can make 1pm.

Based on the amount of snow and rain up there this morning I'm guessing this is off?

I'm guessing that's likely, too, but I've packed and will be there at around 1pm. Leaving Molong in a few. My num is o4o9 443 415 if that helps anyone
