Oaks closure signage is coming down.

I've just received a phone call from National Parks to advise me they are two weeks ahead of schedule and are taking the signage down as of this afternoon. It will be open for riding as of 5pm Friday 16th of May. This weekend is forecast for beautiful riding weather and they want riders to start bedding in the track.

Our ranger contact has ensured me that while the closure notice will remain on the National Parks website over the weekend, the trail will be open for riding.

They have also requested feedback, feedback, FEEDBACK. Good or bad, they want to hear it. He even said don't worry about their feelings, tell us what you think. There should hopefully be an email set up in the next 24hrs for direct feedback to National Parks. Until then, post up your feedback here and we will get it over to them. Please don't post opinions if you haven't rode it.

As for our Rake and Ride Day on May 25th . It's going ahead as planned and Synergy are still coming out to do their promo video.

Enjoy!!!

Great track.
Of the 15 or so people we spoke to, the only person with a bad word to say was a grumpy old dude who said it was not challenging enough and took offence when we jokingly said he should try riding faster. Everyone else loved it.
If you like Turkey Royale at OMV then you'll love this new alignment - only this is longer.
There are some nice bermy sections, some loose off camber sections, rock sections and a few drops as well.
The only problems were the first couple of berms that could do with a bit better alignment to actually be part of the main line.
Well done to all involved.

Rode the new section of single track three times today with Miggle and Ian_A, it's great fun! Something different for the Mountains too. As Ian said, we spoke with various riders today and some last night. The feedback so far ranges from good to fantastic with great, awesome, epic, fantastic(expletives removed in some cases) being 95% of the comments, but the smiles on the riders faces just said so much more than words. Even our grumpy mate will love it soon!

This "new section" of track is rate blue with lots of little black features along the way and there's lots of room for skills progression too. Watching Ian hit the jump on the top section before the Moab descent was great. That last section before the car park just flows along.

Can't imagine to many riders skipping this section like has happened in the past.

NPWS and Synergy Trails have done a great job.

Why did they have to open it early? Didn't they know that I'm in Canberra for another week and then Wagga for another two weeks after that? It's not fair I tell ya, it's not fair...

I rode it today and had a heap of fun. Unfortunately only managed to get 1 run due to other commitments, I wished I could have gone again.

I'm really looking forward to going back.

(great work from Synergy again)
