helmet lights

I've already got a 1100 lumen pedal nation light, but planning a long night ride in near future and am looking for a second set (but more affordable) light.
As my existing light has external battery (and is bright as!), I am thinking to use that on the handlebar and get a second unit for my helmet. Preferably sub $50, but something that will do the job.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Go for one like this if you like something small on your helmet.

If not, go for one like this or any of the others clones listed.

Or even check out eBay.

The biggest problem with the cheap lights is with the battery packs and the chargers. Go for the original clone MagicShine brand for about $75 if you want one that has a little more reliable battery. My MagicShine lights are five years old now and the last two batteries have worked well for about two years.

This is what I have on my helmet.

Thanks Chuck!
These are great resources.

I need to go for one of the cheaper ones as I have a few things to get in-line for this ride.
I hope that with the pedal nation the two will get me through. In the long run, I will probably get a second one of the same PN light so they're fully interchangeable.

That gemini looks pretty nice though too!

I went with one of these:

Partly bc I left it too late and even the fastest ebayers couldn't deliver on time and / or under this price.
This supposed to come from within Oz and looks decent.

BTW they sell batteries separately too, so if the light checks out, it's an inexpensive upgrade if need be.

BTW - any of you have any experience with mtbrevolution.com? I placed this order yesterday and..., hmmm. bit concerned all of a sudden - order status isn't changing, phone number is not working etc

^^
nevermind, managed to get in touch and the guy was pretty helpful.
at this point I ought to report back on the light when I receive it (next wednesday I believe)

Cool! Come along next Wednesday night and you can test it on a ride.
