A group of SNORCers have formed a Bushcare group

"Hi xxx,

OMV Bushcare

One reason we ride is to enjoy the bush. MTBers tend to get directed into degraded bushland which kinda sucks. But it doesn't have to stay that way. A few keen MTBers led by Dan Doherty have been working with Council to form a Bushcare group to help restore bushland around the trails. So MTBers and other Bushcare volunteers will come together to help make OMV sweeter. Some basic stuff can be taught and if enough of us learn the tricks and pass them on we can all help make the bushland and the riding experiences better.

1:00 - 4:00 pm on the third Sunday in the month.
Sunday 21 February being the next one.

The meeting point is Quarry Road near where the bicycle track crosses it at the lower (western) end.

The Trainer, Tim Lever, will take you on a walk around the site, discuss the issues and identify hazards. He will talk about the different weeds and how they should be treated, and give tips on how to identify some of the most common native plants.

This will be followed by a simple afternoon tea. Join the OMV Bushcare Facebook page to stay up to date.
