So after putting it up several months ago, leading to a LOT of food for thought for me, I had narrowed it all down to the Spec Epic and Trek Top Fuel. Eventually (and contrary to what I know many would choose), I finally settled on the Top Fuel (mainly due to pricing) in February though had a spanner thrown in my works when I found out that Trek had completely sold out for the year. Luckily after much negotiation between Turramurra Cyclery & Trek Project One, they sorted out a custom built model. Six weeks later, it's here, ready to give some reprieve to the 3yo Superfly that has (to put it mildly) taken a huge beating.

4 short weeks till its first big day at Convict, but looking forward for many other adventures soon!

No time to rest though - time to start thinking about what bike I'll get next (as per the n+1 law)

Good choice, in my opinion the geo on the Trek is far superior to the Spesh.

Just out of curiosity, what is the stem length on your bike? They look like they are set-up for something shorter than normal for an XC bike.

Very nice but is that seriously how they route the cable for the shock lockout!??
Shocked
