Kinross State Forest
Meeting Point:

The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.

Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.

Drive out from Orange on the Ophir Rd, before you reach the rubbish tip, turn right onto Bulgas Rd. Follow this about 2km to the forest (the road turns to gravel).

Note that the 'Directions there' google maps link below may not give the best route/destination. It seems that google maps ignores Bulgas Rd when selecting a route and gives the next closest spot. The 'Meeting point' link should be correct.

Charge up your lights and warm up your legs for a few laps around the forest!

Hi all,

My ridding buddy has escaped to Melbourne. I am looking for riding buddy(s) to take on Anderson and the Oaks on a morning ride. Having ridden Ando and Oaks on my own, I realise that it’s not much fun and 4 hours is a long time to be riding on your own!

I have average fitness, (Ando still has me doing some walking take a quick break at the gate of the Oaks to fill up water and off I go again. If you’re up for a social ride and want some company please let me know!

I realise that the Oaks is still under construction but I am happy taking the detour!

Fixing up some of the old trail down towards the moto stuff for use in the fiddy Kay

We need whipper snippers shovels and rakes but mostly man power.

If you can't make it Saturday but have time through the week or on Sunday what to do is

1)Trim grass in the new sections and get the trail back down to dirt.

2) Pack in and bench a few bits of the new sections and get the start of Kempy's come back down the to the fire rd.

3) Rake sand out of the little berms through the Esberg Section

4 General Track rake and branch trip.

They said we'd never make it but, here it is! The 4th running of the BMORC bash is on. It's a world cup round so get ready to ride.

I know with the new BMCC clean-up arrangements it'll be a challenge to find a steed worthy of your shiny butt so get looking.

Remember - guidelines are:

1) Bike not to be worth more than $200 new or needs to be over ten years old.
2) No disc brakes.
3) You have to carry it out with you even if it is stuffed.
4) All stacks are your own fault for riding such a heap of S*&t
5) No clip-less pedals (unless the bike came with them originally)
