This month our normal monthly race is promoted as part of bike week. So to encourage new people along we're going to have a more relaxed timed ride around a loop at the forest.
There is a loop that is more suitable for more adventurous riders of about 4km (up 'TTT' and down the 'North Shore' track) and a shorter loop of about 1.4 km. There'll be the choice of doing 2 or 3 loops of your chosen track.
The 1.4km track is suitable for juniors and those newer to MTBing.
Cost will be $10 ($5 for MTBA members, the extra $5 is for an MTBA day participation license).
Knapsack Build Day 11th August
Lover's Walk Carpark (the top one on Barnett St)
Build day is definately on.
Bring tools.. whatever you have but we will need mattocks!
Largely rehabiltation to make it a winding single track and then constructing features to spice it up with hips and rollers etc so that it is fun, technical as well as improving existing water management features.
For details check this link

Start is at 9am.
We will be providing sausage sizzle lunch again (I am pretty sure anyway!)
Pony Xpress big build weekend

Big effort to get the trails complete. The state round is only 7 wks away.
We plan to build Saturday and Sunday, if you can make one of these days it would be much appreciated.
Bring the normal trail building tools (rake-hoe, shovel, maddock, wheel barrow) and water/lunch.

In July we are combining with the Orange Triathlon club to put on a 'Dirty Duathlon'. This will combine off road running with off road riding.
Updated details are below. I have a feeling that us mountain bikers will be catching people during the bike leg so take it easy and be nice as you pass. Especially as they will be catching us again on the run
Have a think about what shoes and pedals to use and as you will switch. These tri-athletes are used to swapping shoes quick so we have to try and not be humiliated too much
Duathlon Details
We will hold the following races starting at 10:00am:
. Juniors 400m run 1km bike 400m run
. Mid 1.5km run, 6km bike, 1.5km run

Darryl and Rocket. Please remember to support those local businesses
that support us.

Tour de Winmalee + Springwood Sports Club
End of White Cross Rd, Winmalee, NSW. There's a small parking area here but it's a standard suburban street so overflow isn't a problem.
Bring your lights and head out to GHS from White Cross. Back down the other side avoiding the forbidden bits and back to the cars.
Head in to Springers for tea at the Sports Club afterwards for those interested/hungry/etc.

The Oaks, Woodford to Glenbrook with Lights
Glenbrook station carpark.
Just a social ride, not a race. I have not done much riding the last 6 months so going up the hills wont be quick, but going down should be fun. Not really for beginners, but if you starting out and want to get lights (good lights) and have a go then send me a PM to discuss. Gets pretty cold this time of year so make sure your rugged up to begin with and then be able to shred off some gear once you hit a hill or two.
OAK UP TO HELIPAD VIA EUROKA AND BACK VIA SINGLE TRACK
Ranger Station
