Fly 12 kickstarter is up!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fly6/fly12-...

Love my fly6 and the fly12 looks really impressive.

The Kickstarter went live at 8am Sydney time and The 50% early bird special sold out to the first 100 in 5mins. I was 107 and just missed out. But still got a good special for the next 500.

Any other backers?

helmet lights

I've already got a 1100 lumen pedal nation light, but planning a long night ride in near future and am looking for a second set (but more affordable) light.
As my existing light has external battery (and is bright as!), I am thinking to use that on the handlebar and get a second unit for my helmet. Preferably sub $50, but something that will do the job.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Garmin 500 Edge

I know riders out there use the edge 500.
I just got mine.
What screen data settings do people use?

Im thinking'
Screen 1- Speed, distance, time, heart rate
Screen 2 - ?
Screen 3 - ?

Trainer + Garmin (w/ Cadence)?

Does any know or has any tried to use the Garmin with the Cadence Sensor on a Trainer? I'm sure it will show the Cadence but will it also show the speed and distance? I'm assuming you would need to preset the wheel diameter in the settings for it to work.

Cheap Helmet Light

CREE Q5 LED 300 LM 7W Headlamp available on eBay for $16 delivered.

Was able to modify to fit on helmet by removing the strap and attaching with velcro. Makes a great zoom-able spot light. Uses 3 AAA batteries in a separate battery pack. Runs for more than 2 hours on high using rechargeable NiMH batteries.
