Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park

When:
Thursday, 29 November, 2012 - 18:30
Ride Database Entry:
Kinross State Forest
Meeting Point:

The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.

Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.

-33.269312,149.16427 (Bulgas Road carpark)

The format (at least for the first month) will be based on the most amount of laps that you can complete in the time period.

This makes it easier to manage the daylight we have.

When the time expires you can finish the lap you're on. This is the same as the 6/8/12/24 hours enduro format.

We're limiting the race time based on the time we have before dark. This week will be 45mins (unless it's really cloudy and dark and we have to shorten it on the day).

We will start the race at 6:30pm *SHARP*. This is to ensure we have enough time to finish the race. Please be there by at least 6:15pm to register (earlier if you need a day license (ie. a non-member)).

The course for the first few weeks will be up a fire road and down part of the North Shore Track (1.7km - the same course used for the juniors at the bike week ride in September 2012).

Points will be added over the summer to find the overall results for the weekly racing summer series. You don't get any points if you don't come!

We'll have open male and female categories as well as juniors.
Juniors are 13-18 years are welcome to participate too.

Weekly racing will be happening throughout summer so it will be worth your while becoming a member so you don't have to pay the $20 day license each week.

Cost is $5 (+$20 for a day license if you aren't an MTBA member).

Please bring your MTBA card.

If you wish to become a member it is easiest for you, us and MTBA if you apply online. See the membership page for details.

  • Register Time: 6:15pm
  • Race Format: 45mins, as many laps as you can
  • Course: 1.7km loop, up fire road, down part of North Shore
  • Cost: $5 (+$20 non-MTBA members for day license)
  • Excuse: none accepted
