Ride Database Entry:
Rydal
Meeting Point:

The main rd in has been dusty as all get up so in an effort to keep on the good side of the localskeep the speed and noise down

From the highway come into Rydal and go hard left after crossing the train tracks. Follow this up and around, taking the left at the fork. Follow the round past the cemetery and park. Follow the bicentennial trail up 200m and you'll find the trail in on the left.

Just going to do a bit more tough up/extending of the rydal trail

We'll be working on the far end, so about 500m up the bicentennial trail on the left

Bring shovels, rakes, fire rakes(if you've got them) and a bit of trail imagination.

Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended

Rydal Build day

When:
Sunday, 23 January, 2011 - 14:00
Ride Database Entry:
Rydal
Meeting Point:

From the highway come into Rydal and take a sharp left after crossing the railway. Follow the dirt road up past the houses. *Please* Be mindful of the locals, they bought places here to get away from the rat race so take it slow and keep noise to a minimum.
At the top of the hill take the left fork and follow the road past the cemetery.

I'm not sure if I can get there this week but Richard and a few others heading up to do a bit more work to cut some more trail and hit the existing stuff with rakes.

Follow the road around behind the cemetery and park before the big puddle. Follow the Bicentennial trail (main rd) up about 100 meters and you'll find the trail in on the left.

When:

Meeting Point:

Small park outside council chambers

Blue Mountains City Council Chambers 2-6 Civic Place Katoomba NSW 2780

The final chapter in the fate of the Knapsack Downhill trail hinges on the outcome of this meeting where reports for the Reserve are tabled and the vote cast.
A strong showing of support for the BMORC group is needed I am asking for a full commitment from every single rider registered in the data base to attend this meeting to throw support behind the project and to demonstrate that as residents we are prepared to show our credentials and attend the meeting.
I must warn you it will be a night of mixed emotions so bring some Kleenex for what I hope are tears of joy .

Not 100 percent sure yet if anything mountain biking is on the agenda for the meeting, however it may be that something pops up in the council papers.
This meeting is not the big one it is on the 16th December so keep your eye on the calander and we will look forward to seeing you all up there to show your support to the council and councillors regarding the final decision on downhill in the Knapsack reserve!
