Evocities MTB Series Orange - Ginja Ninja 300

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
When:
Sunday, 27 November, 2016 - 09:00
Ride Database Entry:
Kinross State Forest
Meeting Point:

The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.

Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.

Drive out from Orange on the Ophir Rd, before you reach the rubbish tip, turn right onto Bulgas Rd. Follow this about 2km to the forest (the road turns to gravel).

Note that the 'Directions there' google maps link below may not give the best route/destination. It seems that google maps ignores Bulgas Rd when selecting a route and gives the next closest spot. The 'Meeting point' link should be correct.

-33.269312,149.16427 (Bulgas Road carpark)

Date - Nov 27th

When - Race start at 09:00, duration 5hrs.

Details - Now in its fifth year! The Ninja was the pioneer for big regional events and continues to offer a cracking time for all.

New for 2016 is Gravity, yes, that's right gravity. Inside the standard lap, riders will have two opportunities to exert their prowess on predominantly downhill sections. Its not super techy, its just for fun, if you always thought those skinny XC boys couldn't handle themselves against your talent on the downhills then turn up, roll around the course until the gravity section and give it plenty. The new gravity class will be decided by cumulative time for the two sections. We think its awesome, you don't need to be a XC whippet to get some glory.

Expect another cracking Ninja loop, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, but a lot of fun on the descents.

Also new for 2016 and in conjunction with the Evocities we will have teams of three and we have stretched the duration to 5hrs (more fun!).
