With the recent motions being raised by Deputy Mayor Mark Greenhill in support of adopting the new alignment for the proposed downhil track on the Western ridge of knapsack reserve, BMORC sent out a last minute invite to Councillor Creed, Councillor Gibbs and Councillor McCullam in the hope that we may be able to give an on the ground overview of why the new alignment is so important to the Knapsack Project.
Due to the last minute nature of the request we were unfortunate not to be able to have Councillor Creed and Gibbs along this time, but Councillor McCullam has kindlt agreed to come out to the site and inspect with a view to reporting back to his constiuents on his findings.
So at 3 O'clock today i will take the good Councillor out to the site and together we will see first hand why the old erosive alignments need to be closed down and regenerated and how the adoption of the new sustainable line will result in a postive outcome for the environment with out compromising out sustainable credentials in order to provide for downhill activity.
I will be sure to post a report on the meeting this afternoon.
