Does anyone use or has anyone used Maxxis Ranchero tyres?

I'm going to convert to tubeless next week and I was in my local bike shop today talking about it with them and they said the Maxxis Ranchero was a good all round tyre for the rear. Now I don't know if he was just saying that as he had a few on the shelf and he can't get rid of them, but I'd never heard of them and I certainly hadn't seen any reports on them.

I've looked on CRC website and all of the comments are good, apart from not being to good in the wet but which none wet specific tyre is!

As I only have the one bike and one set of wheels this is quite a critical choice, as I'm not going to be able to change tyres as freely as I do now if I go tubeless. So any feedback on these tyres or any that you feel would be suitable for some one that rides the loose rocky terrain of Menai to the hard packed fire roads of the Royal National Park, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm ok with the front tyre. I've made my mind up on the S-Works Captain 2.2. Big volume and lots of cornering grip, great up front but I didn't find it was so good on strait line climbing grip, so not good for the rear.

Cheers

Chris
