Hi everyone I just brought a giant STP zero looking at getting back into riding again and I need some new tyres I currently have maxxis choice roller 26x2.4 on front and maxxis ikon 26x2.2 on the back any advise on what to get I ride a bit on the road as well and is there much advantage of having the UST tyres ?

Tubeless conversion
Ghetto conversion with
Alex DP20 rim on rear with Kenda Small block 8 folding 2.35. - the bead set as soon as I put it on at the servo.
Kmart $4 20" tube - was cut down the middle for a rim strip.
Nitto electrical tape 18mm - spoke tape. wrapped nice and tight.
Brushing Latex $40 mixed with Windex and water.
Running 35psi on the back with tube, so wondering how low I could go for a 95kg rider + gear.
UST compatible rims - how to?
Some advise needed.
Invested in a pair of UST compatible wheels and are pondering on the following:
1) Should I use that liquid sealant in them any way?
2) If I do get a flat is is just a matter of removing the fixed valve and chucking in a tube?
3) There is a warning label stating not to use tools to get the tyres on and off. Hmm, if I cant use tyre levers to get the tyre off - then how can I?
4) I normally ride on cross marks but they are on the heavy side. What's light with low rolling restistance and offer OK cornering grip?

Hope you all had a great XMAS and are looking forward to 2010 (i just can't wait to see the end of 2009).
Leaky UST tyres
I have an issue with my UST Crossmark tyre.
Few weeks ago I found that they had a few tiny holes in it. I could see the bubbles of air through the water after I washed my bike. So I ordered some Stan's solution as I thought that should seal these little holes up.
However they tyre still seems to be leaking?! I just wet the tyre again and I can still hear and see the little bubbles of air through the water.
What gives? I followed all the instructions on the Stan's bottle.....shake upside down, one scoop etc.
Any ideas why my tyre is still losing air?
