Any recommendations on brake pads? I have Avid Elixir's and am putting in an order with CRC so think that I may as well get some brake pads as it will be my last order for a while (sure). Is there something I should be looking out for ("metal organic", "sintered", "organic", "ceramic"...wtf) and any brands that are recommended over others?

Don't forget to check out http://www.discobrakes.com/ for pads too.
Great prices and I've been happy with the quality.

They have an explanation of the different compounds and their uses too. Depends on whether your after ultimate stopping power or better pad wear characteristics.

Whilst you're at it, Superstar Components also offer great value for money. I bought 8 sets of sintered pads about 18mths ago and after riding avg 200km/week since I'm still on the first set!!! Unbelievable!
