Do you need a good set of lights for GHS at night? I've got a couple of cheap old dodgy lights floating around that I could zip tie to my bars but obviously I would be struggling to see.
I'm only 5km around the corner so I should make the effort.

Get the ride in cos GHS, Blue Gum Swamp, Shaw's Ridge and Faulco Point are closed from May 15-21 for HR burns.

I'm out...finally going out to dinner after 4.5 years! (Whatever will we talk about?)

BTW, I'm the artist formally known as JP. I shall now be known as... THE BROWN HORNET!!!!!!! My Nobmob pseudonym.

Closed from 15th-21st? I must have missed that. Was it posted anywhere or are you a firey with the inside knowledge? I'm local and rode it last week but didn't see any signs and haven't seen anything at the shops.
Thanks for the heads up cause my mate normally drives up to ride it and would be pissed off if i didn't tell him.
Hopefully see you out there.

I was told about it today by NPWS and there's a sign at the end of Whitecross Rd.

We're not looking forward to it, as it's right behind our house. Smoke stinks.

You will probably get away with them small lights, we will have some pretty big lights to help with, it's mainly fire road so it's pretty easy going, we wont be racing either!

I've done it with one of my lights out in the rain and it was ok.... stick with Todd as he has really super bright lights. The only stage that needs a bit of light is around 300m of the single track with its few drops and technical features... I have only ever seen them at night as a dark area of shadow so usually end up walking them as I have no idea what they actually look like.

Would love to come along but just still too dodgy health wise.

I'm a bit of a question mark so don't wait for me.

I gave blood at lunch time and have been holding off a cold all week.

I've zip tied a light to my bars and one on my helmet so I'm keen, just need the energy.

Thanks for coming along Ian, you go pretty good!
The offer of a spare set of lights when the daughter is not using hers is there mate!

Cheers Todd,

Was good to spend a Fri night riding instead of downing beers watching the footy.

Thanks for bringing the mobile sun with you - I could still see fine when you were behind me there was that much light. Got a bit dodgy on the single track when I'd fall behind and hit every obstacle possible and have to slow down.

Ill definately take you up on the offer of the lights when they come up.

See you Sunday.

Ian
