A bunch of us hit Canberra for the weekend to ride Stromlo and Majura for the first time. So much sniggle goodness...evidence below

Thanks for sharing, that's awesome work on the filming.

Stromlo is good fun isn't it, few more years for the trees to come back and it will be awesome. There is something there for everyone, took the kids there at easter (5 and 7) and they loved it, the 7 year olds first "off road" experience and there's heaps of newbie stuff to be had.

Need to visit Majura and Sparrow, they look good fun too.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. The riding is great down there and we have so much more to explore including Sparrow and more of the techy/steep sections of Majura which we ran out of time for.

Have fun at Capital Punishment everyone.

Cheers

I like what you did, good to see you had a variety of riders with you on the trip , how did you find riding Majura compared to Stromlo? I have only been to Stromlo & Sparrow..

Hey Smiley.

Stromlo is great and feels like a maintained park although not too man made. There is lots of variety as you will know. Majura reminds me of riding in Surrey in the UK. An absolute maze of rooty, tight forest tracks, but is almost impossible to get lost (for long). There are also a few jumps and very low level bits of north shore dotted around which are fun. Both places have plenty for the beginner but I think more technically skilled riders would go back to Stromlo before Majura.

Sparrow still to be ridden when the tree thinning work is finished. How did you find Sparrow compared to Stromlo?

for me as there isn't that big climb like the one up to the Observatory ,those who have ridden there know it as it keeps on going up,up, & up I can feel it now thinking about it ,a beginner can ride a lot of Sparrow I say compared too Stromlo even tho there are easy tracks at Stromlo
