Portal Trail, Moab, Utah
NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Someone was asking about Moab trails in the US recently... check this out:
A very technical trail with some major exposure that descends from the top of Poison Spider Mesa to the Colorado River. Done at the tail end of an epic ride from Gemini Bridges to Gold Bar Rim to Blue Dot. A must do for anyone craving a technical, ledgy downhill trail. Short but worth it.

There are some major consequences if you toppled over to the left....aaaah.....doh....ooooh....aaargh.....ooof....raaa....ouch....!
I reckon bits of that would be sketchy to walk, let alone ride.
Can't see NPWS leaping at the chance to open up trails like that in NSW....
"Get off and walk - 200ft cliff - three riders have died here"
Hans Rey or Mark Weir???
that freaked me out just watching it..
Do they update the sign each time someone falls off?
