So after waiting a few weeks for all the bits to turn up, my new bike is finally built courtesy of Rob, it does need a few minor adjustments, like switching the brakes from US to UK stlye and just getting the bolts torq'd properly.

The newest addition to the Logan stable is a Yeti ASR5C, with 2011 components from Shimano and Fox, yes I am running 30 speed currently as well...thinking about switching to 2 x 10 possibly. I am going tubeless once this Stan NoTubes kit turns up, the DT swiss one is rubbish. Cant wait to race this thing at the Fling and the 6 Hour at Ourimbah coming up as well.

I love the cable routing on the bike as well, its really neat and tidy.

That frame... wow

Very very very nice.

Damn you and your ability to conjure up 'dirty' N+1 feelings.

Had just put it in there and not dropped it according to my height, granted I am tall but not that tall.

What's this... the Tienster praising Lefty? This can mean only one thing! Spill it Tien!

Logan's picture

**** on MTBR that has put a Lefty on his 575.

but not quite fully Cannondale converted.

I have to say though the lefty is awesome, , i have the SL carbon version and it is the best fork i have used so far...

Then again i hear bad stories about servicing a Lefty.

Let's see it then! Sticking out tongue

Of course the Lefty is the best fork you have ever used. Like... durh! Sticking out tongue

The Minister for Finance was dismissed from her post about 6 months ago and since then the government has been responsible for his own spending...

Weight, not sure yet. Probably sub 25lb.

Is there a reason you'd go the SLX cassette over an XT? is it stronger or more durable?

Logan's picture

Didnt really get a choice so yeah.

Why such short travel? I would've thought something a little longer like a 140 would suit the geometry better?

Logan's picture

For what I ride which is mainly trails, XC and Enduro's its gonna be perfect. I am not the biggest fan of drop off's etc and I would only be kidding myself if I was.

The Alloy version will take a longer fork, but the carbon, they recommend 120mm. Personally dont see the need for more than 5 inches of travel.
