Hi All,
I just saw this article in the SMH.

Hmmm I wonder how is will impact on the laws for racing, eg does every rider now have to have a helmet that meets the new standard as well?
If anyone out there is looking for a new helmet it might pay to make sure that it meets the new standard before you buy.

Bits and Bobs from Cycling Australia website:
AS2063 1996 and AS2063 2008 can both be used on and off road, it is just illegal to sell helmets that have a compliance sticker with the older version after 12 December 2010.
Explains why I got new helmet at cost price last weekend at Mudgee Grapride!!!
Should mean there are lots of bargains on helmets out there at the moment as shops will want to off load all there lad stock before they can no longer sell it.
