Who watched it, the time trial effort Cadel put in last night was fantastic. Just goes to show that an Australian mountain biker can rain world supreme. I expect to be very tired at work tomorrow.

I stayed up to watch it at a friends, was a great run. If only he was 8secs quicker he would have won the stage aswel! I dont have TV reception so I wont get to see the National Anthem being played in France tonight Sad

Saw somewhereon the SMH that the team manager told him to slow down near the need to not take any risks!

Was great stuff... I will even watch the stupid ride into Paris which always annoys me... different when an aussie wins however.

Watched the last 3 nights right through and all the earlier nights until I was falling asleep. It will be good to start getting a decent sleep after tonight. I remember Damien Grundy who coached him when he was a kid saying that Cadel would be a World Champion and he was right, even better winning the Tour.

F1 on as well so can watch Webber fluff the start and let Vettel through on the first corner.

I'm really happy with this, and even more happy for Cadel. He has been a true gladiator, battling away for this victory and deserves it completley. I have been following his career since the late 90's and those days of mountain biking. This is also going to be great for australian cycling in general - every aussie should go for a bike ride this week!

Guys I am not one to brag Eye-wink but I am here to tell you that I put my money where my mouth is and backed Mr Evans at 6:1 odds and realised a very tidy return on my $1000 outlay Smiling
To all his knockers, past and present I bid u the royal salute, Cadel you are and have been my inspiration since I first seen you burn up the side of the hill at Majura Pines back in 91' as fresh faced 14 year old prodigy I knew you were destined for greatness!
Thankyou champion, Australia needs more blokes like you! Allez!
