BMORC trip - Ourimbah
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone is keen to head away from the mountains for a ride in the next couple of weeks?
I was thinking of heading up to Ourimbah for a day. Anyone ridden here? I hear the trails are very nice. A bit more trail oriented as opposed to the usual XC kind of stuff.

I didn't even look at the downhill track, but the XC loop is fairly XC. There are a few techy climbs and decents but a lot of fairly flat pedaling overall. We did three laps and were pretty spent. Its definitely worth the trip up. For a more AM type ride we go to wisemans and do the convict trail; long tough rock ledge climbs and decents. The harder you ride it the better it is (but I'm soft as and still enjoy it). We did over 55km out there over 5 hrs on Sun and had a blast.
I reckon you'll like Appin Andrei ... rides nice both ways ... although not recommended to ride it backwards on weekends. Its XC ... but with a bit of push some of the slightly descending sections are way fun

If you want XC with a bit of DH ... then Kentlyn is fun.
If you want to come to Sydney, I can show you Red Hill ... real AM IMO ... bit of sniggle, rocks and rock drops ... bit of fast descending with techy descending as well.
All of these are a little closer to home for you as well.
