Having to replace a skewer, seems there are some alternatives to std QR for a more solid ride.

Anyone tried a Hex/Allen skewer or a DTSwiss RWS ... aside from the Hex convenience issue ... ? Is there any noticeable improvement in stiffness (for xc / all mountain riding) ??

There is a noticable differance with only a slight weight penalty, probably not nessacary for XC riding.

Hadley through axle is the best (IMHO) because it's like a bolt-up that can be removed with one allen key.

Got one and love it.
