XTR crank help

A slight crank noise developed today during a spin, & I've found out what it was. The crank has about 1mm of slop moving left to right. (See photo below)
The arrow indicates where the 1mm slop is occurring. These cranks are slightly different to others I've had in the past. Any advice as to how to retighten them?

Follow the link below for the adjustment procedure, unfortunately you need some special tools to do the job. Your LBS should have them if you want them to do it or you can buy them. I have them if you need a loan and are near singleton! I'm sure there is a way to do it without them.

Undo that little allen screw where the arrow is pointing. Turn that thread spacer nut that the allen screw is on so that the gap disappears. Tighten the allen screw. They supply a special plastic tool for turning the spacer nut thing but you can usually do it with your fingers.
Thanks for the reply. I do have that shimano tech-doc... I was hoping that it wouldn't involve those special tools. (maybe just loosen that tiny allen key & then retighten again... or similar?)
Thanks heaps for the offer of a loan, I think I may have to bite the bullet & make the purchase. Over $50! Ouch.
That's what I was hoping! Is this from experience Zoom - or just a guess? I was hoping it might be this easy.
Well that's what I did with mine. Sometimes they come loose by themselves and move a bit. Also it might pay to check that your cranks are done up tight. Give them a quick check with a large allen key. Check your crank tightness first.
This vid is one of the best I've found. (incl. music too!)
