Storing my bike by hanging from a hook - is it OK?

Folks,

I'm looking for some advice on bike storage. I've moved into a new house, with a good sized shed. The shed has roof beams exposed, so I've suspended my dualie by a hook attached to one of the beams. The hook loops under the rear wheel - ie the rear wheel takes all the weight (roughly 13kg)

Let me know if I'm a genius, or am committing a mortal sin...

Thanks.

Not a problem. Wheel spokes operate in tension, and they have to survive your weight on the trail, so a mre 13kg is unlikely to present an issue

Brilliant, thanks.

Be aware that it could upset your brakes a bit. When I have had my bike hanging from the front and the brakes haven't been bled properly the air seems to pool in the wrong spot and I end up with no brakes til they settle again.

If I hang my bike from the front wheel the Rockshox Reba forks leak oil, so I avoid it. All the other bikes get hung by the front wheel with no ill effects though.
