An NZ company's go at a bike without derailleurs hanging out there to destroy. Uses a hub gear in the mid frame. Hard to believe that it'd have the same weight as the usual derailleurs, cluster, chainring setup. The way of the future for all MTB's? Apparently Specialized have been testing the Zerode out.

Aparently there is a german company doing similar things. http://pinion.eu/discover-pinion/pinion-p1-18/ need a special frame for it, but there will be a future for it somewhere.
