Cant wait for this years World Cup Season.
These first few races will be hectic as all nations are still scrambling for points to qualify riders for the Olympics.

Best thing I did last year was get the old 'laptop to TV' cable from JB HiFi.

1st MTB XCO World Cup event last night.

Karen Hanlon from NZ got 8th in Womens Elite - awesome result

Daniel McCONNELL from Australia managed 24th in Mens Elite

Results like that will give us some good representation in the Olympics and some good seeding as well.

Looking at the size of the field I don't know how your expected to do very well starting anywhere outside the Top 20.

And what about Tracey Hannah in the DH, first WC in several years and she qualifies first by 4seconds on a track that really doesn't suit her. Can't wait til racing

Its very tough to move up the field, but it can be done.
Hanlon did it very well.

Behind the scenes - its excellent news that the Kiwis go well in the ladies, as it is they alone that decide whether Aus get a slot in the Olympic Womens race. If they move up their national ranking by another spot (or two) then Aus will be given one slot in the ladies for London.
As it stands, Aus wont have ANY women in the London race. Cheering for Hanlon last night! And Rosara....
In the ladies, poor old Jenni King was on the last lap and in mid 40's, but she crashed on the drop-off onto her head and DNF'd. Jodie and Rowena did well not to get lapped (!) but had average races.

Dans ride was excellent. Very impressive stuff. The other Aussies really struggled in the men - Lachy, Jongers, PvdP and Sid Taberay...

Its a completely different league. Every time I watch it, I just have to pick my jaw off the floor.
As Burry said "it started in a sprint, and then we were sprinting for the rest of the race!"

Cant wait for thr DH tonight.....
