Winmalee Track damage
Just been out to the single at the start of the Winmalee/ halcyon track start, it is now apparent that besides moto's doing some serious damage, somebody has gotten a quad bike down there for the second time in 6 months, with the end result being heaps of damage, this thing has torn the place apart,.
What i am asking fellow riders if they see, hear a moto or quad to ring the police straight away, they are definitely not allowed in there.ANYWHERE, it is now getting out of hand, remember that there are quite a few police officers who are keen mtbers and bmorc members and would gladly help, this they have conveyed to me themselves, this is doing so much damage that now even the walkers are starting to ask what i can do, the one solution is to ring police!

After speaking with a fellow rider today, he gave me some great news, last week a moto rider they seen riding in blue gum swamp and the grotto, they came up to whitecross road and rang police, police bikes turned up, as well as a npws guy on a bike, end result was the moto rider was caught and has been issued with a infringement notices from the police and npws, this is a fantastic result, except this clown has caused a massive amount of damage to the grotto run in his bid to try and escape, so the moral is ring police when a moto is sighted anywhere inside the whole blue gum/ grose head south/shaws ridge area.
Big win for the good guys, now to get the quad bike that is terrorising the joint!
Wow, you dont here of a moto getting caught to often.
Hopefully next time he can have his fun somewhere legal.
Big problem for motos in there is there are only 2 exits, halcyon and whitecross.
Apparently this moto rider had previous form, had warnings, so the fines are sticking!

I was out at Winmalee just after Chrismas, no tracks going in to Grose Head but 4 wheelers back coming out, i could hear it in the distance. Must not have missed them by much.
I would say that was the people who catch and tag birds, they are let in there to conduct there studies, thats the only way a 4wdrive can get in, they drive a landcruiser and a pajero, they look civilian but they are on business in there, they get let in through whitecross!
Only other 4wdrive would be the ranger in a npws toyota 78 series!
The tracks I saw were quad bike not 4wd.
Yeah they seem to come in every now and then, they get in behind halcyon ave, they absolutely tear the place apart.
I thought you meant 4wd, cause the bird/npws go in there a lot to do there research!
