There is also a great app to download for iPad that allows you to watch the event directly on your iPad.

Thanks Wayne. Assume there may be some people out there who are a little technologically challenged. How would those people find and download the App? I looked at the site and there was one of those twitter symbols and facebook which I thought is for people to tell the world what they are eating for lunch or what colour sox they chose to wear today but no obvious ways to download the App.

You can download the app from iTunes app store for both iPhone and iPad. If you don't have these media devices then just stick redbull.tv/ into your web browser to watch it from your laptop or PC. Whatever way you do it just make sure you've got enough Internet allowance for the streaming as it takes a fair chunk of data (the last one was 2GB I think).

Happy days!

I went out and bought the little laptop - tv cable, so I can watch the race on the 42" from the couch instead of feeling like a nauughty school-boy huddled round my laptop..
Cant wait for this one - its really getting to point where any Aussies that want to put in a shout for the Games need to have a great ride. Its Dan Macs slot as it stands (as far as I am concerned).
In the women, we need to cheer the Kiwi girls. Its completely irrelevant how the Aussie girls go (unless the get a win or something) as the selection for a woman to the games now depends on whether NZ increase their National ranking and Aus will qualify a 'freebie' slot on their behalf due to Oceania positions.

Houffalize is always an awesome race - with a mad crowd.

Thanks @ andyfev

@antsonline - I think D Mac is a certainty now. J Blood is uncharacteristically being smashed. Nobody else is in the same league at the moment. Will D Mac get a better start position for Belgium because of his top 25 in SA? In those fields start position matters heaps!

There is an outside chance that the Aus men can qualify a 2nd slot. So maybe two will go.
Either way, I would be very surprised if J-Blood got to go anyway. Even if he was the fastest, and met the qualification criteria from Cycling Australia, their role is to nominate athletes to the AOC. Then the AOC decide if they accept the recommendation. I am not sure that J-Blood and the AOC are on each other Xmas card lists.

My pick is Paul Vd Ploeg for the 2nd slot, unless Lachie Norris pulls out a big ride.

Yes - DMac will have a much better start position. Its crucial at Houffalize.

I don't think that handlebar grab overtaking manouvre won J-Blood many friends.

I won't cry if he fails.
