Family friendly rides near Mt Wilson, Blue Mountains?

I'm planning a family trip to the Mt Wilson area to see the autumn leaves. Are there any family friendly rides (i.e. scenic, not too steep or rocky) in that area that can be enjoyed by the whole family?

most of it's fairly steep country. simple cruz along the main wollongambie fire trail would be OK or if you can organise for some to shuttle the ride down from Mt Irvine to Bowen creek is nice. If you want to get a bit extra in yourself you could leave the family exploring up top, drop the car down at the bridge and ride back up to pick them up
Oh, and the ride out to Mt banks is not overly difficult. It's fire trail, a little loose in spots but no massive hills and spectacular views at the end, just keep the kids back from the edge as there are no fences
