Hello,

I am looking at buying a set of Rockshox Reba RLTs. One of the adjustments listed on the SRAM website is low speed compression to lock. Therefore I am assuming this is an adjustment for low speed compression however the LBS said there was no low speed compression adjustment on the Reba's, just a threshold adjustment. Can anyone confirm which is correct.

Also to complicate things, I was looking at getting the remote lockout. Now assuming you can adjust the low speed compression, do I lose this ability by installing the remote as I am guessing it is either on or off? or can I move the remote to settings in between fully open or locked?

Thanks for any help

there is a version with a lockout which is on or off, and a version with a multi stage compression thingy with a dial to set when it starts - its way to complicated for a post, but there are quite a few models it seems RLT is like saying a ford falcon - yeah, which one..... Eye-wink

edit - sorry, just had a look at the site and was thinking of the rct rather than the RLT - gee these guys need to figure out something easier to remember.......

To answer this query I'll assume the chosen fork is the current 2012 model.
This fork does have a low speed compression adjustment. The dial gradually slows the compression as its turned clockwise until its locked and then it cannot compress. There is also a threshold which adjust dictates what amount of bump force is required to overcome the lockout.
As for the remote, well, I don't know the answer to that as I've not seen one in real life. Earlier versions simply had locked and then open.
Help me to remember by PMíng me and I'll call Monza about it tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies guys. After some more research looks like there are two versions of the poploc. I think the standard poploc can only go from fully open to locked with no in between, therefore you cannot adjust the compression. The poploc adjust model has a dial to adjust the compression. From what I have read they seem more trouble than what they are worth. So maybe I should just go without the remote.

Anyone here actually use a remote and feel they are worth the extra $$$

I was a cool novolty for a while, but now I have just removed the cable and button.
I kept forgetting to put it on and when I did I forgot to take it back off.

You can set the shock up pretty well to not slush around too much when you get out of the saddle anyway.
