Mid Winter Nights* Screaming 4hr
Park at the Rydal Showground
It's cold and dark in the Rydal forest. Very cold. Very Dark.
And when the sun goes down things emerge... Hairy, scary things.
They glide through the forest, some times silent, some times emitting eery sounds. Curses, unholy laughter, screeching, the whoop of the chase.
They are shunned by decent society and called many names. Outcasts. Rebels. Maniacs. but they call themselves mountain bikers.
Are you brave enough to join them?
Mid Winters Night* Screaming 4hr
Will take place on July 14th* from 2.30pm to 6.30pm
Fun little course similar to last years STM 8hr. You'll get a couple of laps in day light to sight the track before the darkness descends.
Solos, Pairs, Masters and Junior categories will be available.
*Yeah, yeah. I know it's not technically mid winters night but there was a lot of events on around the solstice so we fugged it a bit
Were you there and have a story to tell?

Whats the entry costs for a pair Flynny and how do we enter?
Sounds like a fun one.
Ian
Great work well done Flynny , Ill be in . Saturday is a good day to hold them as you can recover on Sunday and have a few drinks Saturday night .
That was our thought too.
Just finalizing costing as we want to include a diner for those that want it in the hall afterwards.
Should have it all together and entries open early next week
Ok
Entries will open on Friday. We have
Solos: Males, Females, Masters
Pairs: Males, Females, Mixed,Masters
Threes: Juniors
All with the option to include dinner
So entry costs $80pp including a roast dinner in the hall afterwards put on by the Rydal show committee
Or $65pp without dinner
We're scared, you should be too
I may come along for this, it will be awesome to get out on those trails again!!!
Maybe a few more sydneysiders will head on up as well.
entries should Open first thing in the morning

Hi all,
Unfortunately we do not have anywhere near enough entries to make this event financially viable and with some wet weather forecast for later in the week I doubt numbers will pick up. Therefore I am going to have to cancel.
Apparently people weren't brave enough.
I apologise for any inconvenience and will issue refunds through the week.
I still believe the format is a good concept but maybe we need to run it later in the year when things warm up
Thanks

I agree flynny , its a great idea , pity there are to many sooks out there that do not want to get there bikes and themselves dirty or it may be a bit cold .
Do'h!
I was keen for this, but hadn't gotten around to registering.
Thanks for the effort of organising the event, hopefully the next one will go ahead!
Thanks,
Ben
