Crossmark Exception

Finally back on the bike after 9 long weeks (I even did my first jigsaw puzzle), and I'm buying my bike some new tyres. I'm wondering if the Crossmark Exceptions mean more flats, especially as my lines aren't as smooth as I would like them to be. Is the increased performance worth it? Maxxis says they are 'race only', and not sure whether to go for these or the regulars.

Increased performance - are you racing? If not, I doubt you will notice it. They're notoriously easy to tear side walls and will wear out a lot quicker.

Maxxis blurb says they corner better etc. Exceptions are the only ones on ebay at the moment. But think I will wait and use my spares. Thanks.

Crossmark = Yes... Exception = No

But thought I'd ask first. Glad I did.
