So attempting to set the sag tonight I've let ALL the air out and still am short of the requires 25%. Is my shock buggered or do I just weigh less than a fly.
At 75kg I doubt it.
It's been working fine till now I just thought I'd do front and rear sag and a bit of a general fit as I've only had the bike a few weeks and have been to busy having fun on it to do it properly.
Do you have to use a genuine Fox air pump to do it right or will any shock pump suffice.
heers guys

little trick is to keep some grease on shock valve thread as for some reason the small cap can seize on!(me thinks cap Steel Alloy-thread Aluminium Alloy-some weird chemical reaction)

First off any decent shock pump with a gauge will do the job fine (IMO), have you tired the obvious like the shock being locked out while you're trying to set sag ? I weigh about the same, or there abouts.. I run 170-180 psi in my rear shock but that will depend on the amount of travel you have and the bike I think. I really doubt theres anything wrong with the shock if the bike is only a few weeks old
Check this out and hopefully it will help

Its gotta be buggered.

I had an RP23 too, and when i press the valve to let all the air out, the weight of the bike will push the shock to the bottom.

They aren't the hardest thing to pull apart, get some how-to's online and give it a go. Just get some replacement fluid first.

Guys thanks for the input.
Turns out my pump was buggered and even thought the dial said zero there was loads of pressure in the shock.
Anyway long story short all sorted now and running about 180 psi in it and it seems fine.
Thanks again fellas.
