Hi Team

well my raceface cranks are pretty much dead now so it's time for a refresh and I am looking for advice . I am in the fortunate position of being able to get very good discounts on SRAM gear so will lean that way, otherwise XT would have been the no brainier choice.

question : does the X0 crank use a standard 104 bcd chainrings so iI can use my 1x9 setup or is it a propietary setup? it will be a pain if I have to buy a range of new chainrings

thanks in advance

Once I got past the useless SRAM site I've been able to get a fair bit more detail now and can answer my own question

Yes the X0 in standard 2x10 guide uses a different BCD however as it has a removable spider there are options. You can either get it in DH for which is setup for 1x use or there are options like alternate spiders or chainrings (MRP bling ring is one) that bypass the spider alltogether. It's now a question of price and availability but I'll most likely just get the X0 DH setup and I can buy the 2x10 spider and rings in the future if I need them

I can't find anywhere that says anything about 3 by 9 X0 cranks. And not only that, how come most Sram cranks are heavier than the old Shimano XTR 970 cranks?
