365 Days of Reign - My first year on a serious mountain bike
NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Last Friday was the anniversary of my first serious mountain bike purchase. It was the day when my dual suspension Big W bike got locked in the shed for good and I embarked on a whole new world of mountain biking .. one with 6" of suspension travel, powerful brakes and grippy tyres.
This video tries to capture the wide variety of trails I've ridden over the past 12 months and the experiences I've enjoyed. It's also a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey, especially everyone on this forum that has given me advice, tips and directions.

Awesome dude... you've been to some magical places...how many KM's do you reckon?
Best I can work out its about 1,300km off road in the past 12 months. I only started using Strava in Oct last year (883km) and prior to that my Map My Ride was dodgy. So .. its probably even more.
There have been some great adventures there for sure.
Look forward to seeing the next 365 days caught on tape.
Cheers and happy trails.
the same video of the thredbo flow track that i have seen? same gloves and bike so it must be you.
theres alot of nice looking trails in there
Thats me, and Thredbo would be right up there as a highlight. In fact if you throw in all the trails in the Snowy Mountains then that's definitely the most fun I've had on the trails all year.
Nerang was a stand out too .. but I still love riding the rough stuff on Manly Dam and Red Hill and try not to go too long without riding my home trails.
show us the stacks!!!
andI agree with you about both nerang and the choice of a reign.
had a reign1 for 3years and absolutely flogged it-withstood everything ,a really good all rounder in my opinion!
These stacks?

"Brains trust" - flattery will get you everywhere
HA! You put me onto the St Ives Horse Trail and its been a favourite of the boy and I, especially when we just want to knock out a quick pedal after work etc. So credit where credit is due
That's a great vid, I especially like having the trail name on each one. You've certainly had a good year of riding.
Nice work a stack a day doesnt seem to have slowed either of you down!!
How can you not enjoy what we do? Great edit. Well done.
Yep, I really enjoy that track too.
Just gotta work out how to do the bicycle limbo under some of those fallen trees without a dropper seatpost
Really nice vid, not sure if I enjoyed the original one more, or the compilation of stacks!
Nicely done
No need to be nice .. everyone prefers the stacks
