Tons of threads on Singletrackworld and no doubt any gravity orientated site.

User thoughts in the UK seem to be turning to servicing costs now after the initial rush to the Reverb. Since servicing costs more here than the UK I would be looking for self servicing friendly options or long service intervals.

Out of interest, how long did your Giant one last and what happened to it? I've recently bought a Trance with one.

I have the KS LEV. It's awesome, no problems yet.

yeah
im more inclinded to get the ks lev because of the cable positioning but it is also a little more pricey. but i think its the on i want to get.

um i think i just got a dodgy seat post, its just did it all of a sudden. when i sat on it, it compressed about 10-20 mm so it felt like a suspension seat post, and it became very loose, not just play side to side but also forward and back play.

My last post which was another brand unfortunately failed every 30 hours and destroyed its clamp.

I also ride a hard tail and spend most of the time standing up.

Only heard good things about KS so fingers crossed.

I have the KS LEV on my carbine and also had a KS dropper post for 3years on my Reign.

I have never had a problem with either of them. They have always worked perfectly. I never serviced the one on the reign!

I have the Reverb on my Trek Slash, works like a dream & can highly recommend it.

Ive had a KS dropper post (cant remember the model off the top of my head) on my Reign for two years now........and it is still running like a dream. BIG thumbs up for the KS brand from me.
I opted for the leaver under the seat model........and the only "servicing" I have had to do to it........is to lube up the shaft with some good quality bike grease.......which takes literally a minute to do. Eye-wink

My KS has been outstanding.

After a trip to Rotorua where it did suffer a little in some VERY bad conditions, it's now back to A1 operation.

Given how badly my RD and hubs are sounding after so much grit, I think it's fair to say that it's due for its first service (first in about 12 months).

I've had my reverb for almost 18 months, never serviced it, or even touched it. Done almost 3500kms on it, about 80% of which have been hard AM style riding with lots of use on every ride. All my mates run them too with faultless operation. Apart from one incident on a mates bike that saw a bent hose joint after a stack. Def worth a look. Best thing is the hydraulic actuation. No crudded up cable opertation or any need to make sure the cable is clean etc.
