The two places i want to go and mountain bike, Whistler & Rotorua, doing Rotorua in October.
If your wondering if Whistler is as spectavular in real life as seen on videos, it's even better, i ski there every year & can't get enough of it.

ScottyB and I did the BC Bike Race and rode around BC and Alberta in July last year and I can safely say, it is even more radical than this movie portrays it - which is hard to believe. Put it on your bucket list, save up and get there!
Perfect for this afternoon and well worth the time.
@slash, just come back from Rotorua some of the best trails / scenery I have ever experienced.
