Nobby Nick on the front. Its more aggressive tyre
Racing Ralph on the rear.

definitely get snakeskin if you intend to run Tubeless. You will need the Pace Star compound.Or do it right & get the Tubless tyres. In 29er you may have to use the TL ready versions.

The stock Schwalbe RaRa's TLRs have sidewalls made from wet toilet paper. Mine came as OE and have lasted 6 months but I wasn't riding off road much for two of those and I've been carefull with lines rather than just ploughing through stuff. Tread is still good but sidewalls have got maybe 2 rides left in them if I'm lucky.

Get the full UST or snakeskin version.

Nobby Nic mounted in reverse is a good front tyre but behaviour is sensitive to air pressure. For my XC sled I'll likely try the new Rocket Ron on the front with a Racing Ralph on the back. RaRa front is great when it's buff but that's not often. They don't like loose conditions very much and when it's damp they clog quickly not what you want on the front.

If you want a really sticky front its hard to beat the Hans Dampf. But it is heavy.
