Details:

While Wild Horizons is well known for our mountain bike events, a lot of riders we know tend to ride both types of bike.

We’ve created Rock&Road as a unique cycling event that doesn’t fit any existing category and that we think will be an exciting new race experience for roadies and mountain bikers alike. We think it will be exciting racing as experienced roadies work to gain an advantage over the mountain bikers from the start, but will speed give them enough advantage to stay in front when they hit the single tracks? Will the mountain bikers have enough speed to hang on to the roadies and maximise their skills through the rock section?

The front runners are expected to take about 4-5hrs to complete the MAX R&R - we think it fits in the marathon category - but really it’s in a league of its own.

I'm in.

Sounds like an interesting format and a good excuse to ride somewhere new.

Entrant list now published.

Interesting that the class with the largest amount of entries is Masters, followed by Veteran and Open after that. I suppose it shows the demographic of cyclists.
