Despite nearly 30mm of rain in the last 24hrs the rangers have confirmed that the trial will be open for the weekend.

Some trail upgrade work will commence mid/late next week on the final section of the Allambie downhill.

Trailscapes team will be working the section from just below the white gate on the firebreak (final left hander).

The mtb trail will be pushed several metres into the bush and away from the overgrown dutch ladder. the current steps/dutch ladder structure will be removed and replaced with rock armouring to improve trail flow and resolve some drainage issues. essentially the trail will be rebuilt down to the connection with the concrete walkway. The estimate is this should take approx 2-2.5 weeks to complete.

Long overdue. That section was diabolical.
