Rydal Mini DH #3
Rydal Showground. Top of Market St
remember the mini DH races we had in the pine forest? No
Well they were a lot of fun and we are bringing the formate back.
Short easier trails that make a good introduction to Downhill racing on less intimidating trails.
Most of These will take place along side our 3hr series which should brig both sides of the club back together but that means I will need help with timing and marshalling
There is no transport so push runs only but it's a short trail and entry will be $5
Format will be practice in the morning then racing from 12. If I can work the system out we'll do 4 or 5 timed runs with only your best one counting.
10: rego then practice
12: racing

Phil and kempy will be away for this one so I'll need a hand setting up the trail and taking rego
Also there is a lot of wind damage from last week so the trail needs a lot of cleaning up
Gaz and Mick will be out there Wednesday afternoon pulling fallen trees off the track and I'll be out there this weekend raking.
If anyone can lend a hand it will be much appreciated. Just head out whenever you can and rake a section
Hi,
I have never raced or attended an event before is there any requirements to go in this event? membership ect?
I'm from Condobolin, NSW so if I was to go I would have a bit of distance to travel to get down there so need as much heads up as possible
Online rego now open (sorry I meant to post last week) if you want a time you need to register online, but pay on the day

Michael
It's $5 entry but you also need a licence.
You can buy a day licence for $25 but MTBA are currently offering a 2 month free trial membership so if you go to http://www.mtba.asn.au/join/ and fill out the form then print the reciept and bring it with you you will be covered.
You need full face helmet. A bike in good working order with 2 working brakes and solid plugs in the bar ends.
if you are U18 you will need a parent or guardian to sign you on
Other than that you just need to turn up and have a go.
The trail is a good beginner trail so it's a good option for a first race as you can deal with pre race nevers without worrying to much about being eaten by the trail.
The mini DH are push runs so ride down and push back up. You get a few practice runs in the morning and then up to 5 timed runs after lunch. Only your best times counts so as long as you do 1 timed run you get a result.
Hope that helps
Rain has set in and I don't want to leave timers sitting out in it all day so we have to postpone. Sorry guys
