My young bloke has a mtb with 24" wheels. We need to get new suspension forks for it. Does anyone know where we can get such forks. It has a standard diameter steerer tube. Your help is appreciated.

Any fork that plugs into the frame successfully and is of the recommended travel for the frame will work with the smaller wheel size. If the bike is of the dirt jump type then buy a fork for that purpose such as a Marzocchi Dirt Jumper. These days such forks come with a 20mm axle so a suitable hub will be required. So get your wallet out. The bright side is that this type of equipment is very tough indeed so your young bloke could very well be going large with his new gear when he is not so young.
Tried a 100mm 26" fork. It made too much change to the geometry. James is small for a 10 year old.

That is young. I was expecting a teenager ripping it up at the local jumps. I'll admit I'm lost on bikes for the very young/small.

they do make smaller forks for 24" bikes...try the RST range ...they come stock on my son's Specialized HotRock kids duallie. (He's 10 years old as well)
The stock RST Cappa has ~ 80 mm travel, adjustable damping / rebound etc, and is tuned for lower rider weight (33 kg's)

i have a old set of rock shox sid forks (brand new) with a very short steering tube they will prob fit, if you want them they are yours for $100.00 cheers.
Adrian I might be interested. What is the measurement from the axle to the crown? This will give me an idea of how much it will effect the geometry of the bike.
