Has anybody got a set of the new Avid Elixir CR Brakes ?
My new Anthem X1 had a shop upgrade to these and seem to have air in the line issues with both front and back since new , one month now !! They have been bled twice and back in the shop now for round three to be picked up monday . If anyone has heard reports please let me know

I have Elixr R's and they work a treat! Modulation is fantastic. Best brakes I've ever had. Never had to bleed it.

Briefly rode them on a demo bike and feels real nice. Nice modulation, and good braking. Was not setup for my usual one finger brking so unsure how that would be.... seemed identical to the ultimates I run on 29r but with bigger pad adjustment know/gizmo.

Looks good too..

great brakes, but as with all Avid's, they might need a really good bleed to start. My LBS bled them & they still had air in them. My suggestion is to buy yourself the Avid bleed kit & bleed them yourself - it's very straightforward & time spent doing it patiently will pay off.

agreed as above. Guess the issue is that with such a small resevoir in comparison to say xt/xtr vol is very low, plus its not shimano Smiling ultimates took about 2 attempts to get right whereas xt/xtr are just bullet proof (I digress).

shortening cables a tad, so will go through it again in a wk or so when time permits. have bleed kit and happy to run through if required...just holler

these are great brakes !
