I can't believe my Fox Talas fork is broken already Sad

My travel adjuster appears to be faulty, I'm not able to select 100mm any more. I doubt I will get it serviced before the race next weekend but that's another matter. As I need to get it repaired I'm thinking of getting them "pushed". It seems to make a lot of sense if I can make it more reliable. Has anyone any experience with this kind of mod?

Worth it?
How much?
Noticable performance difference?
Service time?
Who does it?

Dirt Works offer Push Tuning locally. I don't think they are have all the parts in yet to do forks. Your LBS should be able to give you pricing & turn around times (time should be around the same for a normal rebuild)

Is it worth it? If you're looking for that extra performance probably yes. If you're just riding around, probably not.

As others have stated, Dirtworks is the Australian distributor for Push Industries. I know little of the result of a Pushed shock or fork other than the blurb on their own site.
What I do know is this; Getting a regular service for both types of suspension every hundred hours is critical, sooner for aggressive riders. For those that ride on both days of the weekend, every weekend, this arrives in about three months.
For Fox, your local shop will send your unit off to Netti. I've been there for a training day and these blokes are on the ball well and truly.
A service on an air shock is pretty simple and in retail terms costs about $90 in labour and $30 in parts. An air fork will have a higher labour cost than an air shock. Anything coil is reasonably cheap to service. A service should reveal any travel adjust issues and then they can be rectified. Also, if the technician knows the rider weight then the unit can be tuned for them. This is an extra cost procedure. Turn around is about two weeks.
I understand that a Pushed item has simply had the standard guts replaced by the Push guts. I'm sure it's a good thing as they do have a good reputation in the bike media.
